Specialist Psychological, Somatic & Integrative Therapeutic Programmes
Tailored to your individual goals
Complex psychological and physical health difficulties do not always respond to a single therapeutic approach. For some individuals, particularly those experiencing longstanding trauma, persistent emotional distress or overlapping psychological and physiological symptoms, a more comprehensive and individually formulated treatment pathway may be beneficial.
Bespoke Programmes provide specialist, trauma-informed psychological and integrative treatment tailored to the complexity of each individual's presentation. Drawing on extensive clinical experience across psychotherapy, complex trauma, somatic approaches and clinical naturopathy, programmes may combine ongoing psychological therapy, body-based interventions, TRE®, nervous system regulation and naturopathic treatment where appropriate.
Each programme is developed following comprehensive clinical assessment, with treatment approaches, frequency and duration determined collaboratively and reviewed throughout.
Advanced Trauma Programme
Beyond Psychological Insight: Addressing the Embodied and Relational Dimensions of Trauma
Beyond Psychological Insight
Trauma does not always resolve through psychological understanding alone. Individuals may have spent years in therapy, developed considerable insight into their experiences and established greater awareness of their emotional and relational patterns, yet continue to experience persistent physiological distress, emotional dysregulation or involuntary protective responses.
The effects of trauma can extend beyond conscious memory and cognition, influencing autonomic nervous system functioning, attachment and relational patterns, physiological stress responses and the ways in which individuals experience safety, connection and threat.
For some, this manifests as hypervigilance, anxiety, dissociation, emotional overwhelm or shutdown. For others, it may involve chronic muscular tension, disturbed sleep, fatigue, difficulties with intimacy, persistent shame or physical symptoms that intensify during periods of psychological distress.
Understanding why a response developed does not necessarily mean the body has stopped responding as though the threat remains.
Who This Programme Is Suitable For
This specialist pathway may be appropriate for individuals experiencing:
-
Complex and developmental trauma: Including complex PTSD, childhood adversity, prolonged relational trauma and difficulties associated with disrupted attachment.
-
Persistent embodied trauma responses: Hypervigilance, physiological activation, shutdown, dissociation and difficulties regulating emotional or physical responses.
-
Attachment and relational difficulties: Fear of abandonment, difficulties with trust or intimacy, people-pleasing, avoidance, anger responses and recurring relational patterns.
-
Emotional dysregulation: Severe anxiety, persistent shame, emotional overwhelm and complex presentations associated with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
-
Longstanding psychological and physical health difficulties: Including burnout, sleep disturbance, fatigue, chronic stress and physical symptoms interacting with psychological distress.
-
Persistent difficulties despite previous therapy: Individuals who have developed psychological insight but continue to experience involuntary emotional, physiological or relational responses.
More complex presentations, including longstanding suicidal ideation, require comprehensive assessment, risk formulation and consideration of appropriate multidisciplinary support.
An Integrative Clinical Approach
The Advanced Trauma Programme draws on a trauma-informed biopsychosocial framework, recognising the interconnected psychological, relational, somatic and physiological dimensions of trauma.
Following individualised clinical assessment and formulation, treatment may integrate:
-
Psychological and trauma-focused psychotherapy: Exploring attachment, developmental experiences, protective strategies, emotional regulation and established relational patterns.
-
Somatic psychotherapy and TRE®: Supporting embodied awareness, physiological regulation and exploration of persistent defensive responses through carefully paced body-oriented interventions.
-
Nervous system regulation: Addressing patterns of hyperarousal, shutdown, dissociation and difficulties integrating emotional and physiological experience.
-
Clinical naturopathy: Where indicated, individualised nutritional, herbal, homeopathic and lifestyle interventions, with ongoing clinical review and adjustments to support physical health alongside psychological treatment.
The emphasis is not on applying every modality, but on integrating clinically appropriate interventions according to individual presentation, therapeutic readiness and treatment goals.
Programme Structure
Unlike a fixed therapeutic protocol, the Advanced Trauma Programme is individually formulated according to clinical complexity and treatment needs.
Following comprehensive psychological assessment, or a combined psychological and naturopathic assessment where appropriate, a personalised clinical formulation and treatment plan is developed.
Treatment may involve ongoing weekly psychotherapy, extended 75-minute integrative sessions, structured programmes or intensive therapeutic work. Progress, treatment priorities and clinical recommendations are reviewed throughout, with longer-term support available where indicated.
The duration and intensity of treatment are determined by individual clinical needs rather than a predetermined number of sessions.

Bespoke Integrative Psychological, Somatic & Naturopathic Support
Specialist Ongoing Treatment for Complex Psychological & Physiological Presentations
This specialist therapeutic pathway provides structured, ongoing support for individuals whose needs extend beyond a single therapeutic modality.
Particularly suited to complex and longstanding trauma, including presentations where psychological insight has developed but embodied trauma responses, emotional dysregulation and physiological distress persist, this approach integrates psychological and somatic psychotherapy with clinical naturopathic treatment.
It may also be appropriate for individuals experiencing complex PTSD, severe anxiety, burnout, longstanding physical health conditions and overlapping emotional, relational and physiological difficulties.
Following comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and individualised clinical formulation, weekly sessions may integrate psychological therapy, somatic psychotherapy and TRE® with ongoing naturopathic management.
The naturopathic component may include individualised nutritional recommendations, homeopathic and herbal prescriptions, supplementation and lifestyle interventions, with regular clinical review and adjustments where appropriate. These interventions are considered alongside, rather than as substitutes for, indicated medical or psychological treatment.
Treatment priorities, therapeutic progress and clinical recommendations are reviewed throughout, allowing the programme to respond to changing needs and emerging clinical considerations.
Programmes are available through ongoing 75-minute weekly sessions or structured arrangements of 6, 10 or 12 sessions, subject to assessment and clinical suitability.
Explore Bespoke Integrative Support
Psychotherapy Intensives
Focused, Specialist Therapeutic Work Beyond the Conventional Weekly Session
Psychotherapy intensives offer an opportunity to engage in a more concentrated period of specialist clinical work, allowing additional time for assessment, psychological formulation, therapeutic exploration and integration.
Rather than being restricted to the conventional 50-minute appointment, intensives may involve extended half-day sessions, consecutive appointments or individually structured programmes delivered across several days.
Often held in beautiful, natural locations, utilising nature, equine facilitated and somatic psychotherapy.
Depending on clinical needs, treatment may focus on complex trauma, attachment and relational patterns, persistent somatic responses, emotional regulation, dissociation, significant life transitions or the integration of psychological and body-based therapeutic processes.
Intensives may incorporate integrative psychotherapy, somatic interventions, TRE®, experiential approaches and clinical naturopathic considerations where appropriate.
Each intensive is individually designed following assessment, taking account of psychological stability, clinical complexity, therapeutic goals and the need for preparation, pacing and follow-up support.
Therapeutic Retreats & Nature-Based Work
Integrating Psychological Therapy, Somatic Experience and the Natural Environment
For some individuals, therapeutic work within natural environments can offer additional opportunities for experiential exploration, embodied awareness and relational reflection.
Bespoke therapeutic retreats and nature-based programmes may integrate psychological and somatic psychotherapy, TRE®, nature-assisted interventions and equine-facilitated psychotherapy where appropriate.
These programmes are clinically informed and individually structured, offering opportunities for focused therapeutic work within settings that extend beyond the traditional consulting room.
How to Begin
All bespoke programmes are developed in response to individual clinical needs rather than predetermined treatment protocols.
Most clients begin with a combined comprehensive psychological and clinical naturopathic assessment. This provides an opportunity to explore presenting concerns, relevant clinical history, therapeutic goals and the suitability of different approaches. Where budget is limited or naturopathic and holistic approaches are not desirable, an initial psychological consultation can be booked.
Following assessment, a personalised clinical formulation and treatment plan will inform recommendations for ongoing psychological therapy, specialist integrative support, somatic/TRE® interventions, psychotherapy intensives or other appropriate pathways.
The frequency, duration and structure of treatment are agreed collaboratively, with ongoing clinical review forming an integral part of the therapeutic process.
