Naturopathy for People

Naturopathy is a holistic, evidence-informed approach to health and healing that honours the body’s innate ability to restore balance

when given the right conditions. Rooted in both natural wisdom and scientific understanding, naturopathy views health as a dynamic integration of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Why Naturopathy?

  • Symptoms are information and communication that inform what’s needed to address the root cause

  • Treating different conditions or parts of the body in isolation is non-sensical—every system is interconnected and works in sync to keep you alive

  • Natural compounds (like those in plants, minerals, and foods) are often the original source of pharmaceuticals, but without synthetic by-products or harsh side effects

  • Naturopathy is not “less than” medicine—it is often more powerful, when used appropriately

  • There is a broad evidence-base for naturopathic interventions, supported by science

  • Naturopathic methods have been used successfully for thousands of years—pharmaceuticals and conventional medicine have existed for barely over a century

Guiding Principles of Naturopathic Medicine

🌱 The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Jo Naturae)
At the heart of naturopathy is the belief that the body—whether human or animal—has an inherent capacity to heal. As practitioners, we work to remove barriers and create the conditions for self-healing through gentle, non-invasive means such as nutrition, rest, herbs, and hydrotherapy.

🌱 Identify and Treat the Cause (Tolle Causam)
Rather than suppressing symptoms, naturopathy looks deeper. We consider a range of contributing factors—nutritional, emotional, environmental, and behavioural—to uncover the root causes of imbalance. Addressing these allows for lasting change.

🌱 First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere)
Naturopathy prioritises safe, low-risk interventions that work in harmony with the body's processes. Treatments are selected to support healing without causing harm or disruption to the body’s innate wisdom.

🌱 The Practitioner as Educator (Docere)
Empowerment through education is central. I work collaboratively with clients, helping them understand their own health, offering tools for self-care, and encouraging active participation in their well-being journey.

🌱 Treat the Whole Being (Tolle Totum)
Every individual is unique. I consider physical symptoms alongside emotional history, life circumstances, beliefs, and lifestyle. This holistic approach extends to animals as well—recognising their environment, diet, trauma, and relational needs.

🌱 Prevention is Key (Preventare)
Prevention is the most powerful form of medicine. Through regular care, lifestyle guidance, and early support, we aim not only to address existing issues but to build long-term resilience and vitality.

What Can Naturopathy Help With?

I support adults navigating a range of acute and chronic health concerns, including:

  • Hormonal imbalances (PMS, perimenopause, PCOS)

  • Digestive conditions (IBS, reflux, bloating)

  • Fatigue and burnout

  • ME / CFS and autoimmune conditions

  • Pain, inflammation, and injury recovery

  • Skin issues (eczema, acne, hives)

  • Long COVID and post-viral symptoms

  • Emotional regulation and nervous system imbalance

  • Anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, and mood disorders

  • Sleep disturbances

  • Headaches and tension

  • Allergies and inflammatory conditions

  • Detoxification and parasite cleansing

  • Stress following overwhelm or trauma

How I Work

My naturopathic practice is the result of over 15 years of lived and clinical experience across diverse settings. While my formal training and registration underpins every recommendation I make, my knowledge has been deeply shaped by years of real-world application, international mentorship, and thousands of hours in therapeutic work.

Over time, I’ve developed and applied protocols that go beyond surface-level care. These include:

  • Herbal medicine

  • Homeopathy

  • Nutritional guidance

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Lifestyle and emotional care

Each treatment plan is unique—designed to meet the specific needs of the person or animal in front of me.

I also follow the Naturopathic Therapeutic Order, a stepwise framework that begins with establishing the foundations for health and moves through stages of gentle intervention, always prioritising the least invasive yet most effective approaches.

An Integrative Approach

Naturopathy does not aim to replace conventional medicine—it complements it. I regularly collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure safe, integrative care. Together, this blend of approaches supports optimal outcomes, especially in chronic or complex cases.
